Florida Sheriffs Association State of Florida Counter Drug Procurement Program (1122 Program)
The Florida Sheriffs Association State of Florida Counter Drug Procurement Program, or also commonly known as the “1122 Program” allows state and local governments to purchase law enforcement equipment through federal procurement sources to be used in counter-drug related activities. This program affords state and local agencies the opportunity to take advantage of discounts available to the Federal Government due to its large volume purchases, creating tremendous budget savings.
A few examples of supplies and equipment available are:
- Aviation parts and supplies
- Body armor
- Field clothing, boots
- Tents, sleeping bags
- Target systems
- Helmets
- Communications equipment
- Surveillance systems
- Boats
- Drug testing kits
- Generators
- Cameras
- Canine handling equipment
- Night vision equipment
Three sources of supply are available to law enforcement agencies through the Florida 1122 Program. The first two sources, the Department of the Army and the Defense Logistics Agency, maintain stock of available items. The State Point of Contact (see contact information below) will assist you with providing more information about specific items such as the discounted price and availability of these items. The third source, General Services Administration, furnishes items through various contractors.
