We salute the nurses and other healthcare workers in our community who put their lives on the line every day to ensure everyone receives the necessary attention and care to live healthful lives. In law enforcement, these front-line heroes contribute to the health and well-being of inmates in our county jails, managed by our sheriffs, prisons, and other state facilities. Their daily tasks include health screenings and tests, medication distributions, mental evaluations, and ensuring these individuals receive the equivalent level of care as the rest of the community. To all healthcare workers, thank you for all you do in assisting our law enforcement community, caring for our officers who are injured in the line of duty, and making sure our inmates receive proper care.
