The Crime Intelligence Analyst Academy was created to provide professional data analysis training for our sheriffs’ Crime Analysts.

The academy consists of two weeks of complex training.

  • Week 1 is “Introduction to Criminal Intelligence.”
  • Week 2 is “Connecting the Dots.”

The curriculum has been certified by the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts (IALEIS) and upon completion, the participants can apply for certification with that Association.

The Charter Class was held in Charlotte County and was hosted by Sheriff Bill Prummell. It was attended by 23 criminal justice professionals representing 22 sheriffs.
