General Programs

Internships and Volunteering

About the Program

FSA is dedicated to keeping Florida’s citizens and visitors safe. Our goal is to protect youth, provide services to sheriffs and promote public safety through the legislative process. Our interns may enjoy a variety of experiences such as working in the areas related to marketing and communications, government affairs and the legislative process, and procurement data processing. While FSA’s work supports the efforts of law enforcement, there are no law enforcement-oriented internships available.

Our internship program offers opportunities to college and university students, those working toward an associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree. At this time, our Summer internships have been filled. Please be sure to check back in the Fall.

How to apply:

Interested intern applicants can complete the internship application form and may email any additional documents.

Become a Volunteer

Get involved in the FSA’s mission of protecting, leading and uniting by becoming a volunteer.

Volunteers have a meaningful and positive impact on our community. For this reason, FSA welcomes any volunteer, 18 years of age or older, to assist in promoting public safety in our state. An FSA volunteer should have:

  • a dedication to furthering FSA’s mission.
  • a desire to develop personal leadership expertise.
  • a willingness to learn from others.
  • a commitment to volunteer-staff partnership.

How to Apply:

A resume or curriculum vitae may be sent via email or hand delivered to FSA headquarters. Direct applications and any questions can be sent to Tanesha Williams.
