Florida Sheriff’s Explorer Association Conference

The Florida Sheriff’s Explorer Association (F.S.E.A.) is designed to allow Sheriff’s Office Explorer Programs throughout the State of Florida an opportunity to explore the field of Law Enforcement. 

Every year a Sheriff’s Office hosts the annual week-long State Competition. This year Sheriff Lopez and the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office personnel hosted on July 5-9, 2021. Explorers were given the opportunity to compete in:

  • Crisis Intervention
  • Drill 
  • Crime Scene
  • Building Search
  • Domestic Violence
  • Unknown Traffic Stop
  • Felony Traffic Stop
  • P.A.T.
  • Shooting/Firearms 50 round course

Explorers also received training in First Aid.

A total of $36,400.00 dollars in Scholarship funds were awarded. Two received a Law Enforcement scholarship to attend any Law Enforcement Academy in the State of Florida.

Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez was the opening ceremony guest speaker. Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly (Liaison Sheriff) was the guest speaker at the Awards Banquet/Installation of New Officers.
