You’ve renewed your annual honorary and law enforcement membership and placed the 2021 decals on your vehicles. What’s next? Consider inviting a family member or friend to join the Florida Sheriffs Association so they can make a difference, too.

It’s natural for FSA members to encourage family and friends to support causes that are important to them, but we know asking for donations can be awkward. Here are several easy ways to inspire your loved ones to support FSA and our Florida sheriffs.

• Submit an online request to nominate a family member or friend to join FSA.
  • Provide your member number and contact information with the complete name and mailing address of the individual you wish to nominate for membership.
  • FSA will recognize your support in a letter and mail a membership application the nominee.
• Complete the membership application published in each issue of The Sheriff’s Star magazine, and mail it with the appropriate dues contribution in the postage-paid envelope also provided in the magazine.
• Gift a one-year membership instantly by completing the appropriate membership application at www.flsheriffs.org/membership on your loved ones’ behalf.

FSA respectfully requests to allow four to six weeks to receive and process mailed-in applications. Meanwhile, members can check the status of their nomination by submitting an online inquiry to the membership department.
