Your Sheriffs Are Planning for the Next Generation of Leaders

June 09, 2021

The Florida Sheriffs Association Nominating Committee met this week to begin discussions regarding the election of new officers and board members to serve during the 2021-2022 year.  Traditionally the committee is made up of Past Presidents of the Association and this year is no exception.  Their in-depth knowledge and commitment to the success of the Association makes them ideally suited to recommend the next generation of leaders.

This year’s committee consists of the following Past Presidents:

  • Sheriff Harrell Reid, Hamilton County
  • Sheriff Grady Judd, Polk County
  • Sheriff Mike Adkinson, Walton County
  • Sheriff Mark Hunter, Columbia County
  • Sheriff Bob Gualtieri, Pinellas County

The purpose of the committee is to review open seats and eligible sheriffs within each of the four districts in Florida, and to nominate a slate of officers and directors that will be voted on by the general membership at the upcoming FSA Summer Conference.  The responsibilities of the FSA Board of directors include administering the affairs of FSA, fiduciary guidance and approval, and authorizing the Executive Director to carry out routine matters.
