Cooperative Purchasing Program Updates

August 13, 2020

Florida Sheriffs Association Cooperative Purchasing Program is in the process of completing the bid process for Pursuit, Administrative & Other Vehicles, Heavy Trucks, and Heavy Equipment. The bid system opened August 7, 2020 and bid submissions are due by August 31, 2020. A public bid opening is scheduled for September 1, 2020 and bid evaluations are scheduled to be completed from September 1, 2020 – September 4, 2020. The bid evaluations are completed by FSA CPP staff, and the FSA Fleet Advisory Committee. The Committee is comprised of 16 individuals including fleet administrators and other professional staff that have expertise in the bid specification vehicles and equipment.

The new contracts will be awarded October 1, 2020, and account for more than two thirds of all FSA CPP sales. Some new processes for these bids and contracts include an increase in annual contracts to multi-year contracts: two years for administrative, pursuit and heavy vehicles, and three years for heavy equipment.

There is tremendous interest from existing vendors and interested bidders to support and participate in the FSA CPP bids and contracts. There are 60 bidder entities for Pursuit, Administrative & Other Vehicles; 64 bidder entities for Heavy Trucks; and 144 bidder entities signed up to participate in the FSA bids.
