Florida Sheriffs Association Announces New Staff

September 11, 2014

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (September 11, 2014) – The Florida Sheriffs Association (FSA), one of the largest state law enforcement associations in the nation, today announced Matthew Dunagan has joined the FSA team as the Assistant Executive Director of Operations. In his role, he will support the FSA staff in serving Florida’s 67 sheriffs and more than 70,000 FSA members. He replaces Sarrah Carroll, who has joined Southern Strategy Group and will continue to work with the FSA as part of their legislative team.

“Matt is a significant asset for the FSA team,” said FSA Executive Director Steve Casey. “The drug policy experience he brings from the Attorney General’s Office will be invaluable as we continue to serve and protect Floridians.”

Prior to joining the FSA team, Dunagan was a Chief Policy Analyst specializing in Prescription Drug and Special Projects Section in the Florida Office of the Attorney General. He has also served in the Executive Office of the Governor as the Assistant Chief of Law Enforcement for the Office of Drug Control. His vast experience will serve him well in his role as Assistant Executive Director of Operations.
