In this episode, FSA speaks with Sarasota County Sheriff Kurt Hoffman and Deputy Mubarak. Before recently becoming a member of the sheriff’s office, Deputy Mubarak was an interpreter for the U.S. Military in Afghanistan. Deputy Mubarak was born in a rural part of Eastern Afghanistan, and his father encouraged him to become an interpreter for the U.S. Military in 2002. Deputy Mubarak speaks eloquently about the American ideals of family, education and hard work.
