Biography

With over 15 years of communications, legislative affairs, and advocacy experience, Logan has created solutions and successfully led initiatives for thousands of clients, including Fortune 100 companies. Throughout his entire career, Logan has centered his strategy behind the lessons learned from business and leadership greats such as Dale Carnegie, Simon Sinek, and Marcus Lemonis. The key behind any successful initiative is to truly understand the people who are involved, learn how to be empathetic, and to purely digest the Why.

Before originally joining the Florida Sheriffs Association as the Director of Communications, Logan served the FSA as a public affairs consultant for four years. During those four years, he helped secure historic victories for the association such as the passage of Amendment 10 in 2018 that guaranteed that all 67 counties would have an elected sheriff by the people, and he also provided crisis communications counsel for events such as the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas.

Now as the Deputy Executive Director of Community Relations, Logan’s primary goal is to humanize the badge so that all citizens and visitors of Florida, no matter their age or beliefs, can truly respect, admire, and appreciate the work that our heroes behind the badge provide each day. He does this by leveraging advocacy, storytelling, grassroots and grasstops engagement, branding, public relations, media relations, crisis communications, advertising, and digital tactics.

Logan’s belief is to work tirelessly to make our members, Floridians, visitors and the entire world proud because he knows that through collaborative efforts and a shared commitment to the cause, individuals can leave a lasting impact on the long-standing mission of the FSA and the sheriffs.

Logan and his wife also operate two small businesses, a finance and accounting practice and an online women’s clothing boutique. He became passionate about business at age 14 while negotiating contracts for his mother’s company, which provided subcontracting services for Florida’s largest contractors.

A native of Panama City, Logan has a bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate from Florida State University and an MBA from Mississippi State University. A lifelong athlete and lover of baseball, he played throughout college. Logan and his wife have a young daughter, Ava.

In the community, Logan utilizes his expertise by serving leadership roles such as the Chairman of the American Cancer Society Tallahassee Young Professionals, Statewide Chair of Leadership Florida, and served as a Leaders Fellow for JMI.
