Leon County Sheriff Mike Wood talks about his 33-year history in law enforcement and one homicide case in particular that helped him recognize early on the problems with generational crime and the environment that traps young people in cycles of incarceration. Since becoming sheriff in 2013, Wood has kept his focus on youth and has implemented programs to recognize and reach out to at-risk youth before they begin to engage in criminal activity.
