Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri discusses the important role of the Florida Sherrifs Association in the legislative process and how legislation drives many of the decisions sheriffs make daily, such as pursuit policies. Sheriff Gualtieri also discusses the importance of training deputies to assess each situation and take into account the individual circumstances so that they can best determine how they should deploy officers in high-risk situations.
