Florida Sheriffs Association Gets New Conference Planning Leadership

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (May 2, 2013) – The Florida Sheriffs Association has selected Christine Poole to direct the meetings and conferences hosted throughout the year for Florida’s Sheriffs and their teams. Christine will be responsible for the planning, implementation and management of the yearly meetings and conferences. Her extensive background and experience made her an ideal fit for FSA.
“Much work goes into coordinating FSA’s yearly conferences and meetings and we are privileged to have Christine managing all that goes into making them a success,” said FSA Executive Director Steve Casey. “Her talents will help provide our members with the best experience possible when attending our meetings and conferences.”
Each year FSA hosts seven different conferences and meetings throughout the year, each with their own distinct purpose. The two major conferences are held during the winter and summer, with a variety of management and technical training programs and seminars being offered for Sheriffs’ office personnel during the course of the year.
As a Certified Meeting Professional, Christine brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to FSA. She is a member of many professional associations and received the 2004 President’s award from the Tallahassee Society of Association Executives. Having previously worked with several state associations, Christine has the skills needed to make each conference and meeting a success. Christine holds a Bachelors of Science in Social Sciences from the Florida State University.
